I'm thrilled to unveil The Grower Talks Podcast website — a vibrant new space where growers, innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers can come together to share real stories from the field. Explore episodes, meet the voices behind the movement, and join a community that’s working together to support growers transition to an accelerating biological inputs future.

For many Wharf42 newsletter readers, 'The Grower Talks' podcast will not be new. From November 2023 to December 2025, I recorded 13 episodes of the podcast with my good friend, Dennis Donohue, former Director, Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology. When Dennis stepped down from Western Growers to assume his full-time role as Mayor of Salinas, Wharf42's immediate focus was on delivering an impactful 2026 Salinas Biological Summit.

This break provided the opportunity to revisit the purpose and some of the key outcomes a revised 'The Grower Talks' podcast program could deliver. Sharing success stories highlighting biological solutions that were providing growers with the efficacy and ROI they demand was one. We were also keen to extend the global outreach of the podcasts so that we could share international best practice with the community.

To enable this to happen, I'm excited to announce that The Grower Talks Podcast Season 2 will feature 6 exceptional co-presenters who will help facilitate some of the most consequential conversations on biological research, development and adoption, to-date.

In Season 2, the podcasts will not only discuss emerging opportunities across the sector. Wharf42 and our partners will seek to leverage the impact of those conversations by building real-world collaborative partnerships to deliver real-world impact.

To ensure that we can provide a face-to-face extension for those outcomes, The Grower Talks Podcast is forming a formal partnership with the Salinas Biological Summit. Next June, we'll be bringing many of these virtual conversations to life, by incorporating them into the 2027 Summit program.

We believe that the renewed 'The Grower Talks' podcast will provide a major platform to identify & promote emerging biological solutions that make a real difference to specialty / horticulture growers everywhere.
